Kancil to Mira L502: Full Conversion in Just 7 Days

The journey of converting my Kancil to Mira L502 started with a clear vision of what I wanted more power, a sleek body kit, and improved performance. Therefore with the help of P44 Autoworks, I successfully completed the Kancil to Mira L502 transformation in just seven days. Here’s how it all unfolded.
Starting the Kancil to Mira L502 Conversion Journey
I brought my Kancil to P44 Autoworks on August 28, 2010, ready to start the Kancil to Mira L502 conversion. After a brief discussion with Gar and Murad from P44 Autoworks, we decided on the conversion steps. I wanted everything done within a week, and they promised to deliver, despite the busy fasting season.
The Process of Converting the Kancil to Mira L502
By September 4, 2010, the entire conversion was complete. The team at P44 Autoworks worked incredibly fast, finishing everything just a few days after the car was brought in. Here’s a rundown of the work done:
Engine Swap: From Kancil to Mira L502
I began the conversion by replacing the original Kancil engine with a more powerful one. I chose the Mira L502 engine for its improved performance and turbocharged setup. To make the swap, I removed the old engine and installed the JB-JL 660 Turbo engine in its place.
Body Kit Transformation
The Mira L502 body kit was the centerpiece of this transformation. We started with the L502 front bumper, which fit perfectly into my Kancil’s frame. The L502 rear bumper was installed without modifications, making the swap easy and seamless. To complete the look, I added the L502 side skirts and the Mira L502 bonnet.
Final Adjustments and Details
The body kit fit nicely, but I had to slightly modify the original bumper to ensure the bonnet closed properly. Still, the overall fit turned out great, and the result looked stunning. The car looked brand new, and I couldn’t wait to take it on the road.
The Challenges and Setbacks
Despite the fast progress, there were some unexpected challenges. On the 4th of September, Gar informed me that the alternator from the halfcut was damaged. Fortunately, he was able to source a replacement at a reasonable price of RM180, ensuring no delay in the conversion process.
The Big Reveal: A New Kancil to Mira L502 Conversion
By the evening of September 4, I received the call that my car was ready for pickup. The Mira L502 conversion was complete, and I was eager to take my newly transformed Kancil for a spin. The engine ran smoothly, though it wasn’t as fast as I expected compared to my previous Satria 4G93T. Nevertheless, the Kancil to Mira L502 conversion was a success.

Conclusion: The Transformation Was Worth It
The entire process of converting my Kancil to a Mira L502 was completed in just 7 days. P44 Autoworks’ dedicated team exceeded my expectations. They completed the project quickly and professionally. If you plan to do a similar conversion or any custom modification, I strongly recommend their skilled and efficient service.
Stay tuned for future updates on this project, including the installation of the Mira L502 sport rims and other mods.
