Last Thursday, 30th June, I got my Kancil L2S back from P44 Autoworks. As usual, Gar and his team didn’t disappoint. Despite being in the middle of the fasting month and dealing with a shop full of pre-Raya customer cars, they completed the work in just over a week. Impressive!
Let’s break down what was done and how it performs now.
Smooth Drive After Kancil L2S Modifications
After a few days of testing, I can confidently say the Kancil L2S drives smoothly. The electric power steering now works perfectly. The rev meter also performs exactly as it should. Every improvement just makes the car feel more refined and fun to drive.
One major upgrade this time was the exhaust system. Gar contacted me during the installation process, asking if I wanted to replace the old, worn-out exhaust. I agreed without hesitation. It was time.
So, they fitted a full L2S-spec exhaust system, complete from front to rear—including the exhaust tip. The piping diameter is 1.8 inches. The full setup cost me RM750, which is very reasonable for the performance and build quality.

Interior Touch: Walnut Trim for Kancil L2S
While there weren’t many changes inside, I did add a small but classy touch. The aircon and radio compartment area was upgraded with a walnut trim finish. This simple change gave the dashboard a more premium look. It only added RM100 to the bill, but it was worth it.

That said, I still feel the exterior paint and wheels don’t match the now-stunning engine bay. It might be the next thing I’ll sort out.
Excellent Service from P44 Autoworks
Once again, P44 Autoworks came through. Gar and his team not only handled the upgrades but also coordinated exhaust installation with an external workshop. Their speed and commitment—even during the busy festive season—deserve praise.
With this round of upgrades, my Kancil L2S feels better than ever. The drive is smoother, the steering lighter, and the new exhaust gives it a crisp, satisfying tone. Performance-wise, it’s running just right.

Final Thoughts on My Kancil L2S
If you’re planning a similar upgrade or working on your own Kancil L2S project, I strongly recommend P44 Autoworks. They’re reliable, quick, and clearly passionate about their work.
Next, I might invest in fresh paint and wheels to match the sleek engine bay. For now, though, I’ll enjoy every drive this revived Kancil gives me.
