I hadn’t done any upgrades to my Satria in a while, so I popped open the hood for a quick engine bay check. Right away, I spotted several intercooler hoses in bad shape—cracked, worn out, and definitely due for replacement. That’s when I decided to move forward with a Satria silicone hose upgrade.
Measuring Hose I Needed
Before ordering anything, I needed to figure out exactly how many hoses I’d need and the right sizes. Starting from the turbocharger to the intercooler, then from the intercooler to the intake manifold, I counted a total of six hoses. Here’s the breakdown:
- 1 piece: 1.5″ to 2.0″ reducer (turbo to intercooler piping)
- 5 pieces: 1.75″ to 2.0″ (intercooler to piping and intake)
Searching for the Right Brand for Satria silicone hose upgrade
At first, I considered going for a well-known brand like SAMCO, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find a 1.5″-2.0″ reducer in their catalog. I looked at ELEVO and JASMA, but neither offered the exact size I needed. After a few days of searching through forums and online shops, I finally discovered a brand called INFINITE that stocked the elusive 1.5″-2.0″ reducer.
I reached out to the seller—nicknamed GarageR on the ZTH forum—and placed my order immediately. A few days later, the hoses arrived via GDEX. I was impressed by both the fast shipping and the seller’s professionalism. If you’re looking for silicone hoses in Malaysia, I highly recommend checking him out.
On Hold… For Now
Unfortunately, due to my hectic work schedule and upcoming MSc exams (Module 5 starts on May 22, and I’m prepping for the Module 4 exam), I haven’t had the chance to install the new hoses yet. But once I do, I’ll be posting a full guide and photos of the installation process. So stay tuned for the next chapter in my Satria silicone hose upgrade journey.
